Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced EU Tax Business Partner to support our local finance and business teams, ensure tax compliance, and drive effective tax management across multiple European jurisdictions.
This role is critical in aligning the tax platform, managing transfer pricing documentation, and monitoring key tax metrics such as ROS and ETR.
The successful candidate will contribute to the successful execution of tax-related projects and risk mitigation strategies across the region.
This role will be based in the Barcelona office.
Key Responsibilities This will include, but not be limited to: Tax Compliance and Review: Oversee and review local tax filings and compliance processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Manage VAT compliance across multiple European countries, including Germany, Austria, Central and South Europe, and Sweden.
Transfer Pricing and Related Party Transactions: Prepare, review, and maintain Transfer Pricing Documentation (TPD).
Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies and regulations.
Oversee intercompany agreements, ensuring alignment with business operations and local regulations.
Tax Metrics and Profitability Management: Monitor and analyze profitability, ensuring compliance with key tax metrics such as ROS and ETR.
Support the business in achieving tax efficiency while managing risk.
Risk Management and Audits: Identify and manage tax risks across jurisdictions, ensuring robust monitoring and controls.
Lead and support tax audits and inspections, providing documentation and analysis as required.
Project Implementation: Drive tax-related projects, including new business initiatives and tax platform improvements.
Ensure effective implementation and follow-through of tax strategies across the region.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with local finance, legal, and business teams to address tax issues and optimize processes.
Align with the EUHQ tax team to ensure consistency in policies and approaches.
Requirement and Skills Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-4 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and advisory within Europe, preferably in a multinational or consulting environment.
Comprehensive understanding of European VAT frameworks and overall tax systems.
Hands-on experience with German tax regulations; familiarity with Austria and Central/South European tax regimes is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or another European language is a strong advantage.
