What you will do: Serve as first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance.
Edit and create Python scripts in the Shotgrid/Deadline environment.
Check and set up computers and necessary peripheral devices.
Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
Install, configure and monitor all relevant IT-components within the company.
Identify equipment shortages and report.
Create, maintain and publish relevant documentation of the internal knowledge base.
Manage system monitoring tools and backups.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
You need: Experience in VFX production studio environment.
Experience with Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10 / Server 2019).
Experience with Mac OS operating systems.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell.
Strong knowledge in Microsoft-based technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Group Policy Objects.
Knowledge of security.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies is an advantage (VMware / Proxmox).
Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies (Veeam, Backup Exec).
Strong understanding of networking, routing, switching, and firewalls.
Knowledge of databases (Postgres, SQL).
Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English.
Strong analytical skills and a good problem-solving ability.
Flexibility and reliability combined with high-quality standards.
