Senior Supply Chain Manager, ATS Strategic Integrated Network PlanningAmazon seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager that combines collaborative and analytical skills with a passion for problem solving on behalf of our customers. In this role, you will contribute as part of Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) Network Planning team in our EU headquarters to help deliver customer packages faster, more reliably, and at a lower cost.Amazon's Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders to Retail teams and everything in between. You'll help us optimise our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.Key job responsibilitiesDefine innovative supply chain and operating models for various businessesAnalyse and interpret large complex data sets to improve efficiency across supply chains and multiple operationsInfluence a broad set of stakeholders and partner with diverse and dynamic teams across Europe to manage complex operational challengesSupport and drive improvement across planning and organisation of complex projects taking a big-picture approachCoach and develop others to build a stronger teamA day in the lifeBeing a Supply Chain Manager for Amazon involves lots of problem solving. You'll work with a number of teams to navigate challenges as and when situations impact our network. You'll spend time resolving temporary issues and looking at the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards achieving new objectives. This role is both proactive and reactive, and you'll have the opportunity to help forecast and plan for new projects.As a Supply Chain Manager, you'll need to help with both on-the-ground tasks and more tactical work. No two days will be the same. You could spend one day helping to define our supply chain and operating models and the next assisting with a site's resource plan for a busy period. Having so much variety in your role means you'll be able to learn something new every day.About the teamAmazon couldn't deliver at pace without the ATS team. As part of ATS, you'll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you'll help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency.This role is within Strategic Integrated Network Planning (SINP) team part of the ATS Strategic Network Design organization. SINP manages the end-to-end long-term planning from ATS perspective, the long- to mid-term planning of new businesses and programs such as Ship with Amazon (SWA), Amazon Freight (AF), AMXL, Warehouse transfers (WHT), Customer returns (C-ret), AMZL undeliverables (Back to FC, B2FC), Box-level placement (BLP), etc. Additionally, the SINP manages the scope of ATS network expansion into new EU countries and long-term planning of middle mile transportation modalities alternative to ground - Air, Sea, Rail.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degreeExperience in program or project managementExperience in supply chainExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsExperience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadershipAdvanced proficiency in verbal and written EnglishPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBA, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative fieldExperience leading process improvementsExperience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
