NucOps manages the efforts to update the industry guidelines focusing on Emergency Operating Procedures within the PWR Owners Group and assist plants to revise their operating procedures. NucOps collaborates with our new plant engineering teams to develop complete sets of operating procedures for our advanced plant designs.NucOps is experiencing major growth driven by the plant specific implementation of new Emergency Response Guidelines (ERGs Revision 4) and the need to support the development of new plants. We are currently ramping up efforts to provide operational design and procedure development for eVinci, AP300 and AP1000.Your Day-to-Day:When you join the NucOps team, you'll find a career that's as dynamic as it is diverse:* Our operations team collaborates with plant designers and system engineers to define the best and safest way to operate nuclear plants.* You will use your knowledge about integrated plant operations and regulatory requirements to develop or update the way control room operators run plants with operating procedures.* You will collaborate with customers (from both operating and future plants) on various topics related to operations and procedures.* You will validate various scenarios in control room simulators, before they are implemented in plants worldwide.* Your scope will include the operating fleet (worldwide) and the next generation of nuclear plants (AP1000s, SMRs and microreactors), giving you learning and development opportunities in both worlds.Who You Are:As a successful candidate, you will bring the following competencies to the team:Qualifications and Other Requirements:* Top Tier Performer: Someone who demonstrates excellence in nuclear operations and stands apart from his/her peers. Someone who performs well under pressure and can easily integrate multiple inputs from many internal and external stakeholders.* Recent SRO License holder or qualified SRO instructor for a Westinghouse, Combustion Engineering or AP1000 nuclear plant.* On-site plant experience: Completed a continuous stay greater than one year at an operating nuclear plant. This uninterrupted experience could be in a training, operations or engineering role.* Fluent in English: high verbal and written skills since technical deliverables and communication will be completed primarily in English.* Location: Westinghouse office in San Sebastian de Los Reyes near Madrid. Presence in the office will follow all applicable policies.* Travel: ability to travel to customer sites and Westinghouse offices to support projects. The amount of travel is expected to be limited (several weeks per year).Desirable Experience in the following technical areas is not required but will be favorably considered:* Procedure Writing: Experience in writing operating procedures and system procedures.
