Position Overview
Software Engineer (Tech Lead BPM)
The candidate must possess strong technical skills and leadership abilities to oversee the technical aspects of a delivery team, making software engineering and design decisions, guiding team members in technical matters, and supervising system modifications in response to business needs. The candidate will actively participate in the technical design and architecture of the application or its components, propose appropriate solutions, and promote the reusability of existing components while working in a collaborative environment.
The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of the systems and applications under their control, manage changes, and collaborate in the technical and architectural design, analysis, and implementation of approved projects.
A Tech Lead combines leadership, development, and technical reference roles, defining their essential skill set:
As a leader: supervise team members, delegate tasks, provide feedback, evaluate risks, and resolve conflicts.
As a developer: utilize programming tools and existing frameworks, apply defined design patterns and best practices, and perform automated testing.
As a technical reference: conduct technical assessments, oversee development lifecycles and release management, and ensure product quality and improvement.
Your key responsibilities
Establishing initiative specifications and technical direction.
Fostering the use of existing frameworks, technical standards, and procedures (certified delivery).
Overseeing software quality and system modifications.
Guiding team members with troubleshooting technical issues.
Ensuring Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) are properly considered to deliver sustainable, scalable, and resilient products.
Establishing a continuous improvement approach on delivered products.
Ensuring IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance.
Aligning application changes with the application strategy and technology roadmap.
Identifying and managing risks and issues associated with the application.
Setting the technical direction of a product/application and being its technical owner.
Maximizing operational availability and stability.
Ensuring cost efficiency.
Your skills and experiences
Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
Technical guidance and decision-making skills.
Experience and solid knowledge of software engineering, systems testing, design patterns, and software architecture.
Experience in application solutions from a technological perspective, with the ability to understand key aspects of technical platforms and infrastructure.
Development background with demonstrated experience as an analyst.
Experience analyzing existing systems from high-level architecture to application code review.
Experience with technical documentation, architectural diagrams, components, flows, and use cases.
Demonstrable DevOps-oriented mindset.
Experience with testing/Quality Assurance (QA) tools.
Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand complex business processes and workflows.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Leadership and communication skills.
High commitment and results-focused approach.
Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasks effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of methodologies in application development (e.g., Agile).

Experience and solid knowledge with: TIBCO BusinessWorks, TIBCO iProcess, Camunda, Java 7/8/11/17, Spring Boot, Docker, Git/GitHub, SOAP REST, Maven, Junit/Mockito, Openshift 4.x/GKE/Kubernetes, JIRA/Bitbucket/Confluence, SonarQube, PL/SQL, Relic, Splunk, Securitization/mTLS/Certificate management.
Highly appreciated experience with Teamcity/Jenkins, Changes & Releases management, Google Cloud Platform, FrontEnd knowledge (Angular/React).
