About the role: Your mission will be to contribute to the whole development process, from the design of the system to the deployment and monitoring in production. The role of the Payroll squad is to ensure that PayFit clients can close their payroll reliably and on time. The squad provides a comprehensive and scalable solution to the local teams of each country where PayFit is accessible. Internally the squad guarantees that all business domains covered by the PayFit product can impact safely the payroll of our clients.
The squad is responsible for the maintenance and evolution of a set of services critical to PayFit. These services allow for instance to calculate the monthly payroll of clients, generate the payslips of employees, let a client undo a monthly payroll in autonomy, or display a preview of payslips at any time. The domain is broad and deployed across three different countries, which offers exciting architectural challenges.

Your future team: The Payroll squad is a team of 3 Software Engineers with an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, and a Designer who are working tightly together daily. Interview process: Initial Discovery Call: A Talent Acquisition representative will assess your qualifications and fit for the role - 30minInterview with an Engineering Manager: You will have a conversation with your future manager to further discuss your experience and skills - 30minTechnical Interview that comprises of 2 parts:Coding Interview: You will be assessed on fundamental knowledge, including data structures and algorithms. This may be conducted through at-home coding exercises or live coding - 60/90minSystem design Interview: You will participate in a system design interview, focusing on distributed systems and web architecture - 60 minInterviews with your Team: You will meet with the rest of the team members (a Product Manager and a Product Designer) to get to know them and further assess your fit within the organization - 30-45minInterview with the Engineering Director of the Tribe to discuss your understanding of our role and challenges and your potential impact in it - 30minBackground Check (ISO27001 certification): identity, diploma, and past professional experiences will be checked after the offer.
