We are in charge of creating, developing, improving, and maintaining all Fever services so that more people can have an amazing experience.About the roleLocation: Spain - Home office friendly.As a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in high-performance systems, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of Fever's live-entertainment platform.

This is an opportunity to have real impact in a high-growth global category leader.What will you do at Fever?On your first month in Fever:Fully integrate into the team and participate in planning, grooming, and retrospectives.Familiarize yourself with Fever's tech stack, CI/CD workflows, and operational infrastructure.Good vision about the main systems, points of failure and framework to identify performance gapsAttend Fever Original experiences like Candlelight.After 3 months in Fever:Propose solutions to new challenging problems, from architecture design to implementation.Create production-grade Python code designed to handle high levels of traffic.Participate in hackathons and build strong relationships with the engineering team.On your 6th month in Fever:Take on responsibilities for different parts of the system, analyzing user usage and evolving the platform.Mentor team members through code reviews, architecture design sessions, and pair programming.Participate in team-building activities and events.Responsible for redesigning one of our major workflows to improve scalability, performance and geographical distribution.About youMust have skills:Strong knowledge of good practices, testing, and design patterns.Proficiency in business English.Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, taking it to its limits (ideally PostgreSQL).Proficiency in using Datadog or other similar profiling tools and monitoring systems.Ideally, experience with:Python (Django/Flask)Redis.Event communication between services.
