Nombre de vacante: Senior Site Reliability EngineerDescripción: The Cloud Operations SRE teams are responsible for the performance and operations of Sage's online Product portfolio, ensuring products and services remain available, secure and performant.DevOps merges software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) and aims to heighten an organization's capacity to deliver services and applications at high speed, compared to traditional infrastructure management and software development processes.
This is where an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) comes into play.SREs are team players who embed themselves within product teams as needed to advance the architecture and performance of software systems and train their peers in topics such as debugging distributed systems, building self-healing applications, automation to eliminate toil, and ensuring availability to fuel the company's growth.
The role will include working across the various services in the Digital Network, prioritizing performance, scalability, and resilience of these products whilst working alongside engineering and product management teams.The Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer must have the ability to build relationships and influence at different levels of the organisation.
They should help lead the team by example in relation to designing, building, and maintaining production services, and proven experience analysing and troubleshooting complex systems.Responsabilidades principales:Own initiatives aimed at improving processes and systems related to OS and cloud instance validation, performance optimization, core network/VPC design etc.Design, scale, and secure infrastructure to stay ahead of business needs through fault-tolerant architecture design, performance testing, profiling, and tuning, and capacity planning.Ensure our products remain available, performant, secure, observable, and cost-effective.Work closely with product delivery teams, influencing their approach and design.Drive innovation and automation.Promote SRE good practices to help us grow in a sustainable way.Understand Cloud Operations from a customer and commercial perspective building relationships with key stakeholders.Ensure all components are highly scalable and maintainable.Use your product development experience to build and take ownership of services, tools, and components to support the function and teams.Partner with other engineers to troubleshoot problems with our technology, and provide an excellent customer experience.Provide mentorship on best practices for development, backend operations and integration.Champion and promote the SRE function as a centre of excellence.Function: Cloud OperationsCountry: SpainOffice Location: BarcelonaWork Place type: HybridAdvert: Working at Sage means you're supporting millions of small and medium sized businesses globally with technology to work faster and smarter.
