Physical attendance is required for this position.We are seeking a computational biologist to join our Translational IPS team as a Senior Scientist. If you have advanced computational skills and bioinformatic methods, experience with 'omics analysis, and a good understanding of the key concepts in molecular and cellular biology of cancer, we want to hear from you! Your mission will be to dissect the molecular complexity of oncological diseases to drive precise drug discovery and inform drug development. We encourage applications from individuals engaged in innovative translational research in oncology, whether in clinical, academic, or industrial settings.ResponsibilitiesUse computational methods to identify molecular subtypes with unmet need in oncological diseases.Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover the key biological themes and disease mechanisms driving disease subtypes.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to pinpoint potential therapeutic targets.Contribute to accurately represent key disease states in ex-vivo models and other validation scenarios.Work closely with experimental teams in the iterative process of validation of therapeutic candidates and/or mechanistic hypotheses.Summarize your findings and report conclusions to BMS decision-making bodies.QualificationsPhD with 2+, or MS with 4+ years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics or related fields. Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industries is a plus.Advanced skills in a high-level programming language such as R or Python for data analysis and visualization.Expertise in downstream analysis for common NGS data types, such as WGS/WES/panel-seq, bulk RNA-seq, and single-cell RNAseq (experience in building NGS pipelines is not required but is a plus)
