Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and we will reach out if a role is available that matches your qualifications and interests!As a Senior Scientific Analyst you will become a highly proficient user of Aetion's Substantiate platform to lead complex implementations, inform complex measure development, QC findings, and interpret results communicate key takeaways in partnership with client facing scientists.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead implementation of 1-2 studies which may include:Performing tasks that inform the study design (e.g., literature reviews, identification of code lists, etc.
)Executing data and sample size feasibility assessmentsAdvising Study Leads on protocol implementation feasibility and operationalization of variables/measures.Preparing analytic file downloads for the coding team and integrate external results as applicableProviding constructive scientific and presentation feedback to the implementation team on performance of assigned tasks with little to moderate guidance from managerCreating, QCing, and formatting result tablesSummarizing the interpretation of findings and present results to internal stakeholdersParticipate in Scientific Support rotation to aid clients using Substantiate as either first or second reviewer, pending platform experience and availabilityDevelop familiarity in at least 1 TA and/or data sourceCollaborate closely within the RA team and partner closely with leads on the Scientific Consulting team.QUALIFICATIONS:Required QualificationsBachelor's degree (or equivalent), preferably in sciences, social sciences, or a related analytic fieldAt least 2 years of full-time experience in a research or analytic areaDemonstrated experience in analytical research using healthcare data, preferably healthcare claims and/or electronic health records (EHR) data.Outstanding attention to detail and organization.Strong ability for critical and logical thinkingStrong ability to quickly learn new tools.Strong ability to self-motivate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication in verbal and written form.Preferred QualificationsExperience with analytic or statistical software programs.Experience with mentoring colleagues, especially in a project team setting.Experience with epidemiological studies or familiarity with epidemiology concepts.Experience with cross-functional teams is a plus.Experience working with a global team*We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one.
