Our platform needs to handle information at a massive scale and extend well beyond SMS as a channel. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. 
As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Crisis Text Line's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and the mental health space grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about taking on new problems across the full stack as we continue to push technology forward.

At Crisis Text Line, engineers not only evolve our platform, they routinely work on large scalability and storage solutions, applications, and entirely new features for users around the world.
Responsibilities: Design, code, and unit test platform and integration components Developing Salesforce features in Apex and Lightning. Designing and implementing custom functionalities using Apex (Salesforce's programming language) along with other Salesforce features like flows and Lightning components to meet business requirements.Testing. Conducting thorough testing of Salesforce features, configurations, and customizations to ensure they meet requirements and perform as expected.Collaborating. Deploy features, perform integration and unit tests and participate in code reviews. Collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, participate in code reviews, and provide technical guidance and support to other team members.Configuring and tweaking Flows. Building and modifying Salesforce Flows, a declarative tool for automating business processes, to streamline workflows and enhance user experience.Bug fixing. Investigating, troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by users or identified during testing, ensuring smooth operation and functionality of the Salesforce platform.Configuring Salesforce permissions. Setting up user access and permissions, ensuring proper security and data integrity within the Salesforce environment.Continually look for opportunities to improve our Salesforce solution, process, and business.Work with the product and design teams to build new features to solve business problems and fill business needsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical role or equivalent practical experience4+ years of experience programming in a Apex (Salesforce Coding Language)2+ years of experience in full stack developmentExperience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software designStrong problem solving skills, ability to communicate analysis and reasoning clearlyEagerness to learn quickly and take ownership of technical problemsPreferred qualifications: Experience building microservices using GoLang, or Java, or PythonExperience working with relational databases and GraphQL APIs Reliable High-Speed Internet Required: Must have a stable high-speed internet connection to support seamless remote collaboration, virtual meetings, online job tasks, etc.
The full salary range for this position, across all Spain geographies, is € 81,9000 - €134,800  per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location. We pay competitively in the tech-forward nonprofit space and offer a robust benefits package.
