A Snapshot of Your Day We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive in the high voltage substation sector!
The main objective of this position is to grow the opportunity pipeline and orders in new and existing markets for substations and all the different solutions that Siemens Energy has to support our customers in the energy transition.
In coordination with the relevant internal Siemens Energy (SE) team members, you steer the development of offers for customers' high voltage connections, leading the communication with them, and ensuring the offer meets their needs and expectations as much as technically possible while maintaining profitable margins.
Once the technical clarifications of the solutions/products/services to be offered have been completed, you are responsible to lead the commercial offer and negotiation with the customer according to SE internal guidelines.
As a Field Sales, you are directly involved in the management of our customers. Your customers will be the main utilities, independent power producers, industries, and infrastructure companies in Spain.
How You'll Make an Impact Establish and maintain the partnership with key customers. Take ownership of the whole sales process for project opportunities within the Lead Management through to Project Handover and make necessary coordination with other involved parties to provide technically accurate and commercially/financially compliant proposals. Understand customer needs and requirements to create successful strategies offering tailored solutions. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to develop effective and differentiated strategies & tactics to achieve business objectives. Define Bid/Win Strategy and develop technical solutions to meet customer needs. Responsible for the project bid clarification and negotiation with customers. Analyze customer's requirements and RFQs to clearly understand objectives, scope, timelines, negotiation points, and evaluation criteria. Ensure that the Sales and Tendering processes are implemented in line with Siemens Energy process and in a compliant and ethical manner. Work together with relevant partners (Customers, Suppliers, Managers, Colleagues) for effective communication, both Written & Verbal. Coordinate with engineering, factories, service groups, and marketing groups to resolve configuration, scope, and technical changes during the quoting process. What You Bring A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical field. Knowledge and proven experience in the grid technology market. More than 5 years of experience in HV substations solutions and systems. Understanding of customer business drivers and process requirements. Project management experience will be an advantage. Strong technical knowledge of high voltage substations and their components. Willingness to travel as needed and to have regular customer visits. Good communication skills in English and Spanish. Able to communicate fluently, collaborate with both internal and external customers, and lead multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight time frames while handling customer pressure. Disciplined in planning, organizing, and structuring resources. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic analysis, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Teammate able to communicate at multiple levels with customers, peers, and team members. Ability to work in an accurate and structured way. High skills for collaborative work among diverse teams and different countries, ability to create a good team environment and be a key part in motivating it towards common and individual objectives. Capability to be self-supporting (able to work without supervision) and quickly learn new concepts. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools and sales software.
