About the role:We seek an experienced Senior Ruby Engineer for our client's quickly growing organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to join a robust team responsible for the creation and maintenance of our client's API and related infrastructure. As part of the Engineering team, you will report to a Team Lead, and you will also be responsible for supporting customers with technical issues and assisting with their integrations.
Within the first year:Help improve product market fit and customer satisfaction by continuously improving the product. Provide significant contribution to the API codebase.The overall codebase quality has been improved by the engineer and almost all changes have reflected this.Increased test coverage and quality.Requirements:Role-based:Rails experience: You have used Rails professionally with thorough test-first plus sound code review processes, preferably in a SaaS environment.Backend web technologies experience: You have been developing on the backend for at least 4 years.Domain expertise: You have an applied knowledge of frontend design, development, and testing. Moreover, you understand your team's domain well and to a certain extent, other team's domains. You also have an understanding of the challenges surrounding accessibility and localization.Documentation: You have a documentation mindset and understand when it is appropriate to leave comments, but bias towards self-documenting code.Learns quickly: You have the ability to quickly absorb and make use of new information.
