The aim of the School is to contribute to the professional training, scientific and human development of future engineers.
Since its creation in the spring of 1961, it has maintained a balance between teaching, research and service to society, making these activities complement each other.It currently hastwosites: the older site, located at the universitycampusin the Ibaeta district, is made up of the laboratory buildings, the teaching and representation building completed in 1989, and a multipurpose building erected in 1996.
The other site is located in the Miramon Technology Park and includes classrooms and research laboratories in the areas of Electricity, Electronics and Communications.TECNUN, School of Engineering of University of Navarra, together with Ikerbasque (www.Ikerbasque.Net) the Basque foundation for science, is looking for asenior researcherto establish a research line in the area ofartificial intelligenceanddata analyticsin the context of business management applied to:Improve processes and products promoting sustainable and resilient production and consumption.Support decision making for improving the management of organizations to deal with current threats such as the scarcity of natural resources and climate change.Establish a research line of AI techniques and applications for industrial management and processes within the Industrial Management department of the School of Engineering of the University of Navarra.Provide support to the existing research lines about the potential AI techniques that could improve and innovate the management of organizations promoting sustainable and resilient processes and systems.Lead and attract funds from European and national level research programs in the area of AI and management.Collaborate in already existing projects within the department.Provide support about AI techniques and applications to the PhD students of the department.RequirementsYour profile, qualifications, knowledge and skills:Researchers of any nationality who have completed their PhD before January 2016.PhD in Artificial Intelligence preferably applied to sustainable and resilient industrial management.Previous experience in leading research projects in the area of Artificial Intelligence preferably applied to sustainable and resilient industrial management.Collaborative mindset and motivation to work in an international, interdisciplinary environment.Supportive mindset to collaborate and provide help to different research lines and PhD students in the department.Strong organizational skills, project management, and proactive "getting things done" mentality.Interest in learning and growing professionally in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and competitive industrial management department.Genuine excitement for science, innovation, and creative thinking.Good written and oral communication skills in English.Starting date:Early 2025Application:We appreciate that applications contain the following information before November 28, 2024:A motivation letter describing your experience, research interests, expectations, and preferred start date.Your CV with a complete list of publications.Transcript of university record.Contact information for three references.Applications will be considered for a permanent Ikerbasque Professor or Associate position, based on the candidate's research record and leadership experience.Applications from women are especially welcome.Contract:PermanentSector:Editorial, Education and Training#J-18808-Ljbffr
