TECNUN, School of Engineering of University of Navarra, together with Ikerbasque (www.ikerbasque.net), the Basque foundation for science, is looking for a senior researcher to establish a research line in the area of artificial intelligence and data analytics in the context of business management applied to:
Improve processes and products promoting sustainable and resilient production and consumption.
Support decision-making for improving the management of organizations to deal with current threats such as the scarcity of natural resources and climate change.
Your tasks:
Establish a research line of AI techniques and applications for industrial management and processes within the Industrial Management department of the School of Engineering of the University of Navarra.
Provide support to the existing research lines about the potential AI techniques that could improve and innovate the management of organizations promoting sustainable and resilient processes and systems.
Lead and attract funds from European and national level research programs in the area of AI and management.
Collaborate in already existing projects within the department.
Provide support about AI techniques and applications to the PhD students of the department.
Your profile, qualifications, knowledge, and skills:
Researchers of any nationality who have completed their PhD before January 2016.
PhD in Artificial Intelligence, preferably applied to sustainable and resilient industrial management.
Previous experience in leading research projects in the area of Artificial Intelligence, preferably applied to sustainable and resilient industrial management.
Collaborative mindset and motivation to work in an international, interdisciplinary environment.
Supportive mindset to collaborate and provide help to different research lines and PhD students in the department.
Strong organizational skills, project management, and proactive "getting things done" mentality.
Interest in learning and growing professionally in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and competitive industrial management department.
Genuine excitement for science, innovation, and creative thinking.
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Starting date: Early 2025
