What we're looking for We are seeking an R3 researcher in Family Studies at the Institute for Advanced Family Studies (IESF). The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in fields related to family studies, such as Sociology, Demography, Psychology, or Social Work. The research focus areas include but are not limited to, family resilience, family policies, fatherhood and motherhood, time use diaries, and work-family balance. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Conducting and supervising data analyses Writing manuscripts for publication in top scientific journals Leading the writing of grant applications for research funding Communicating with research funders and handling project administration Key Responsibilities Leading the implementation of research projects as a principal investigator The candidate must have:

An independent board of experts that assesses all applications and decides who will move on to the next stage. All members of this board are from outside UIC Barcelona. A public oral defence by finalist applicants: a presentation about their career (research, management and teaching). Following the presentation, the examination panel will ask a series of questions to conclude the defence. The defence should last a total of 60 minutes.
