About the Role: As a Senior Research Analyst - Carbon Markets, you will be responsible for Carbon Compliance Market (specifically, carbon allowances and offsets) and wider-carbon market research & analysis. You will support the Principal Analyst and have a dotted-line report into the Director of Carbon Analytics. You Will: Collect and organize carbon and emissions-related statistics inclusive of Energy, Power, and Gas data sets Lead the preparation of models, datasets, and analytics for activities covering the carbon compliance markets Support the design and preparation of content delivery tools Work closely with the carbon policy team to understand current events and policy changes that may affect the price and outlooks around carbon Become the primary contact for the systems development team for the upcoming services as it pertains to analytical tools and processes Partner across OPIS business lines to set the vision and product scope for Carbon Analytics You Have: 5+ years' relevant experience Gas/Power sector knowledge Knowledge of the energy value chain and the associated market dynamics Advanced skills in Python, SAS, SPSS, R, SQL, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience using databases, process documentation applications, business intelligence applications, and data visualization applications for data analysis and data modeling Experience communicating complex content in a digestible format to technical and non-technical audiences Experience in refinery modeling to assess environmental impact, investments in emissions reductions, and mitigation technologies (preferred) Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), Chemistry (preferred), Business, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems Management, Data Science, or relevant discipline Our Benefits Hybrid working, ability to work from home 2 days per week Wellbeing assistance Meal Vouchers Desplazamiento policy flexible working policy (individual's right to work applies) Generous pension plan Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans Education Benefits Generous Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave policy Family Care Benefits Newscorp subscription Discounts Employee Referral Program #LI-Hybrid Reasonable accommodation: Dow Jones, Making Careers Newsworthy - We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
