Senior Regulatory Specialist

Our client, a leader in the bakery ingredients space, is seeking a Senior Regulatory Specialist. This on-site position is at the forefront of ensuring products meet the highest legal, regulatory, and certification standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own the regulatory compliance program to ensure all products meet national and international regulatory requirements.
Manage finished product technical data and regulatory packages, ensuring compliance with kosher and spec database requirements.
Conduct quality reviews and lead risk assessments, contribute to new product approvals and changes.
Lead the product inactivation process and provide regulatory support to R&D teams.
Serve as the primary contact for all regulatory matters.
Promptly handle customer requests and manage the label generation processes.
Participate in facility inspections as part of the HACCP and Internal Audit teams.
Lead the supplier approval program by approving new raw materials and suppliers, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring document compliance.
Provide immediate support to Operations and contribute to food safety initiatives including BRCGS, HACCP, GMPs, and more.

DESIRED PROFILE:

College diploma or University degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or Microbiology, or relevant industry experience.
More than 5 years of hands-on experience with SFCR and FDA regulations.
Experience conducting GAP analyses on new certifications and potential program updates.
Willing to work on-site with flexible work schedules when required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High sense of urgency and attention to detail, comfortable with tight timelines.
Knowledge of Spec database, Genesis, Business Central and Dynamics 365 CRM is an asset.
Experienced in quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, and BRCGS.
