About the role: We are searching for RD&A Technician for our location in Barcelona, Spain.
Working with the RD&A team to meet customer briefs by making and dispatching samples to customers, making gold standard samples to support product commercialization, and supporting technologists by assisting in running line trials in the pilot plant and preparation of products for internal tastings.
Key responsibilities: Prepare samples by accurately weighing raw materials and following a recipe, as well as sample dispatch to customer/manufacturing site with all relevant information and documentation, ensuring work is accurate and within agreed deadlines. Work with the team to agree on priorities, keep and manage retained samples of all products made and dispatched to customers. Preparation of products for internal tasting and presentations. Maintain the R&D laboratory raw materials ensuring they are fully stocked with appropriate traceability. Support line trials and pilot plant activity with R&D Technologists. Work with the R&D team to maintain a laboratory notebook recording the details of work completed, attend weekly team meetings, and ensure own work area is hygienic and fit for the development of food products. Qualifications and skills: Diploma. Demonstrates an interest in Food (demonstrates creativity, practical skills & enjoyment of food). Laboratory experience is not essential; full training will be provided. Teamwork is essential. The job requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the business. The ability to confidently present information and food products. Excellent organizational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel).
