.Engineer, Sr. II - Manufacturing (Quality) LOCATION.Asheville, North Carolina POSITION SUMMARY.
To provide quality support to the assigned production operations to ensure the integrity of components and products produced by those operations.
Aggressively drive site quality improvement efforts with a goal of achieving "zero defect" performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES.
Responsible for execution of the Quality parameters of the PDP for New Product Introduction and Qualification.
Including the development and documentation of quality plans on new products and those similar to existing products in production, including selection and qualification of gaging systems.
Identify and interpret customer's quality requirements and/or any regulatory/business requirements & translate to effective documented and implemented business practices.
Acts as technical liaison during prototype phases on supplier component development – assisting suppliers with measurement system correlation exercises and with resolution of nonconformances.
Oversees integrity of product quality for assigned area through participation as integral part of manufacturing team.
Takes responsibility for driving quality deliverables & results.
Builds credibility with our internal as well as external customers.
Results for this position will be measured through Launch Performance and Customer Satisfaction.
Measures include Quality Gate Deliverables – on Time & Complete, Customer Incidents, Corrective Action Timeliness and Effectiveness, and Building Customer Relationships.
Additional internal measurements include Scrap Rate, Audit Compliance, and Response Time to Manufacturing Issues.
Uses rigorous problem-solving methods to realize effective root cause analysis and implement timely and real solutions.
Applies knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS.
Requires a four-year degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; and a minimum of 8 years Manufacturing Engineering / Quality Assurance experience in a metalworking environment
