Job Purpose: The position is part of the Operational Risk team.
The Senior QA Officer works in close cooperation with the trading and operations team regarding certifications and regulations in the feed and/or food.
The individual is responsible for ensuring compliance with international quality standards, certification schemes, and legislation, and will be the contact person when CIL offices have questions about product certification/regulation requirements.
Role Objectives: To secure successful quality certifications for CIL offices; To be the Subject Matter Expert and point of contact in CIL for feed and food quality regulations in the EU and expand extra-EU where required; Provide assistance and guidance to risk colleagues, trading, and operations desk globally on management of situations involving feed and food in accordance with regulations.
Travelling to certain office locations is required in accordance with internal and external audits.
Responsibilities: Handling/executing the internal audits for several CIL offices for different types of certifications; Supervising the external audits for several CIL offices for different types of certification; Maintaining the Global Quality Assurance manual; Helping other offices regarding the feed and/or food; Maintaining/updating relevant quality assurance information per CIL office in SharePoint; Managing GMO events worldwide; Backing up for Sustainability Certifications; Handling impromptu tasks regarding QA; Providing training; Addressing Ad-Hoc requests by RCRO of the region and Functional Head.
Requirements: University education; 5-6 years of experience in Quality Assurance; GMP+ knowledge (Internal or External Audit proven experience a plus); ISO 9001:2015 knowledge; Other QA certification knowhow (HACCP, GTP, ISCC, RTRS, etc.
); Excellent communication skills; Excellent written and spoken English, Portuguese a plus; Ability to present and communicate clearly and professionally to a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally and cross-culturally; Ability to build strong relationships across the business and demonstrate a diplomatic but firm response to stakeholder push-back where applicable; High level of common sense, creativity, and innovative problem solving; Ability to work and deliver under pressure; Self-starter and able to work independently; Attention to detail, accuracy; Keen sense of priorities to meet short deadlines.
