We're not just about serving people - we're about creating a marketplace to bring people what they need while infusing social values.About your role as Automation QA Chapter - API EngineerResponsibilities:Develop and maintain API test automation frameworks, focusing primarily on RESTful APIs.Create and execute test cases to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of APIs.Identify and report defects and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.Implement automated tests using Python and other relevant tools.Leverage Robot Framework for test automation where applicable.Follow established software testing principles and agile methodologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the development lifecycle.Utilize version control systems like Git to manage test assets.Implement and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines.Document test plans, test cases, and test results thoroughly.Generate and communicate test reports to stakeholders.Proactively identify opportunities to enhance test automation processes.Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements.Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience in API automation testing with a focus on RESTful APIs.Proficiency in Python for test automation.Experience with Robot Framework is a strong plus.Strong understanding of software testing principles and agile methodologies.Familiarity with version control systems (e.G., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.G., GitHub actions, Bitrise).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.Relevant certifications (e.G., ISTQB, API testing certifications) is a plus.At Yassir, we believe in the power of diversity and the importance of an inclusive culture.
