.We are looking for an experienced public affairs and communications professional who is as excited about the future of urban mobility as we are, and who is keen to make a constructive impact on transport regulation, tech and sustainability policy.Your main responsibilities will be to own and drive our regulatory, public affairs engagement strategy, media relations, communications strategy and messaging frameworks, raising FREENOW's profile in Spain, as well as work on central policy and thought leadership projects as a member of the central Public Affairs and Corporate Communications team.This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to grow their career in a fast-paced environment!The position is based in Madrid.YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:Lead engagement with local, regional and national government and parliament, public officials and third parties with regard to all legislative and regulatory processes for the ride-hailing and urban transportation sector, as well as online platforms, data, tax and sustainability policies.Proactively spot opportunities to shape policies and legislation to the advantage of the business and lead on research and drafting of written submissions to consultations and position papers.Build constructive relationships with regulators and governments, ensure FREE NOW is recognised as the thought leader on the future of on-demand urban mobility.Provide strategic insight to the business on government policy and trends, developments from political parties, local government, think-tanks, pressure groups, trade unions or taxi associations.Drive creation and delivery of the PR strategy for FREENOW in Spain.Create a concrete and proactive plan on how to achieve more earned media attention in the public across different channels, in close alignment with the company's global PR strategy and local market priorities and develop local PR initiatives and campaigns, which lead to a noticeable increase in overall company brand awareness.Grow a strong network of senior media contacts in mainstream and business media and manage to have company stories on FREENOW being the European Mobility App.TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU:Have a minimum of 8-10 years of regulatory and public policy experience and leadership experience in media relations preferably in the tech, transport sector and/or working in government.Are experienced in developing creative and effective public policy campaigns that underpin the company's business objectives.Have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to adapt the message to political and regulatory audiences.Have outstanding organisational abilities, in particular, the capacity to manage several different work streams at one time, proactively drive work programmes forward and coordinate the involvement of relevant stakeholders.Have experience with managing sensitive reputational issues and/or crises
