Your role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Data Business Intelligence team within the Group Technology Office (GTO). The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience leading data and analytics projects, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive our data initiatives and ensure successful project delivery.
As a Senior Project Manager your main responsibilities will involve Lead and manage end-to-end data and analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports. Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business needs. Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing regular updates and status reports. Facilitate meetings and workshops with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Utilize expertise in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to architect and implement data solutions. Oversee the integration of data sources and the development of data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms. Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are maintained. Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Coordinate with internal and external resources, including vendors and consultants, to ensure project success. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management and data analytics. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics. Your Skills and Experience As a Senior Project Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Over 5 years of experience managing data and analytics projects, with a strong focus on cloud technologies. Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, data integration, and business intelligence tools. Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is a plus. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an advantage.
