WOOD is looking for a Senior Project Engineer with proven experience in a major engineering contractor within the Oil & Gas Industry.
The successful candidate will join the discipline team working in our current major projects and will report to the designated discipline lead or manager.
Minimum Requirements: Relevant Diploma / Degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering Proven record ranging from 5 to 10 years of relevant experience performing equivalent duties, preferably with an EPC Contractor, in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical or Mining & Metals business areas Conversant with international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, etc) Knowledge of Microstation, PDS and SmartPlan3D 3D Model knowledge, including knowledge in SmartPlant Review and Navisworks Teamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills, specific technical knowledge Ready to work in an international environment and to learn international engineering working practices Spanish language at native level Excellent command of English Available immediately Valid European Work Permit Responsibilities: Participates in the coordination of the engineering activities during the development of the project Coordinates the preparation of Project Specifications by the various discipline departments Assists / prepares the Coordination Procedure and the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in collaboration with the Lead Engineer and the Project Manager Interfacing with the project team and the Client Assists the Engineering Coordinator in the review of approved Project schedules and ensures that the Detailed Programs include all the Engineering activities of the units under his charge Prepares the Project Specifications as assigned Reviews the requisitions of the Critical and Principal Equipments of the assigned Units Reviews and approves the vendor drawings of the equipments requisitioned by him / herself Identifies and follows up the Contract Changes Prepares man-hour estimates to support contract changes Assists / prepares the monthly Progress Report #J-18808-Ljbffr
