We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Project Controls Manager to join our established and growing team. We offer a competitive salary and hybrid working options.
You'll be responsible for:
Directing and managing application of specific project controls methods, techniques, and tools with a good working knowledge of a variety of techniques on a range of project and programme complexity.
Directing and managing a team of professionals delivering project controls services and responsible for staff development.
Evaluating trends and communicating analysis and corrective measures effectively in a complex project environment using numerical and statistical techniques as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Leading application of specific project controls methods, techniques, and tools.
Advising on complex requirements and communicating analysis and corrective measures effectively.
Managing project controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
Playing a key role in multidisciplinary teams and taking lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
Managing assistant managers & managers where required by the scale of the project.
Persuading and influencing colleagues.
Influencing clients to accept proposals and recommendations.
Tackling problems that do not have an obvious solution.
Delegating tasks to others.
Creating and delivering persuasive presentations to large audiences.
Spotting and developing talented individuals.
You'll need to have:
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to be part of a high performing team.
Attention to detail.
Experience of working on construction projects and/or consultancy.
Experience of delivering effective PMO and project controls/assurance frameworks/strategies.
Good knowledge of PMO and project controls tools, techniques, and software (e.g. MS Office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6, and RiskHive).
An interest in data analytics.
Understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle and/or consultancy.
Knowledge of PMO and project controls service delivery in one or more sectors (e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals).
Ability to articulate complex information and ideas for a non-technical audience.
Strong communication and engagement skills.
Resilient/robust in the face of challenging situations, clients, personalities.
APM Planning and Project Controls (PPC) foundation and practitioner.
Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) (or equivalent).
