Senior Product Service Engineer (M/F/D) - (OKR939)Barcelona, Catalonia, ESJob Description Summary: In this role, the Senior Product Service Engineer will be responsible for independently identifying, analyzing, and solving systematic wind turbine issues that are mainly blade related. The Product Service Engineer will partner with regional, global, and functional teams to drive a culture of proactivity, quality, and collaboration in Fleet Reliability Operations (FRO) through tackling systemic issues early, developing tools that detect indications of unconformities, and driving timely implementation of corrective actions to reduce the cost of quality (COQ) and improve fleet performance and availability.Essential Responsibilities:Provide technical support for blade-related major field issues and End of Warranty Reports by providing resolution input for PAC cases.Identify recurring problems related to blades, track and trend them, and describe problems for further root cause investigation.Participate in technical reviews related to blades with GE/LM blade engineering and quality functions, ensuring lessons learned are followed to avoid recurring issues.Project manage local Service Areas, Engineering, and end customers.Participate with cross-functional teams in Field Service, Repairs, Parts, Engineering, and the Global Supply Chain (GSC) to reduce overall wind turbine lifecycle costs.Create work instructions and troubleshooting guidelines to provide the Service teams with the right tools to be more efficient.Communicate team progress to customers and business leaders.Drive a culture of fast works and digitalization.Qualifications / Requirements:Fundamental experiences in composites gained from blade production and repairs or a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, including composites, from an accredited college or university.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.Engineering, manufacturing, or servicing experience in mechanical blade design, lightning protection systems, and blade bolts.Proven ability to quickly grasp technical contexts and design simple, solid technical solutions.Proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision and with different teams.Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results.Eligibility Requirements:Ability and availability to travel up to 10%.Ability to climb and work on wind turbine towers of 100m or more.Desired Characteristics:Familiarity with blade-related inspection and assessment methods and repair best practices.Ability to communicate requirements and facilitate good practice-sharing in a motivating, engaging way.Strong analytical and quantitative skills.Committed to process improvement.Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Certification or equivalent quality certification and/or a proven education or work history in statistical analysis of complex data and measurement systems.Experience leading the resolution of complex multifaceted problems.Additional Information: Relocation Assistance Provided: No.
