Job Title:Senior Product DesignerAbout the role:Primarily supporting a product team within our European division, delivering product design – from identification of customer problem statements & clarification of commercial objectives; through to discovery, ideation, solution definition, customer testing & detailed design development for production & beyond.Our product designers are some of the businesses most passionate & informed customer advocates – part of your role is to understand what traders think, feel, see & do; as well as build an understanding of why.

We work in cross-functional teams, focused on delivering at pace to improve the experience of traders on our platforms.What you'll do:Running the entire design process from ideation to implementation and everything that entails - UX, UI, prototyping.Work with pace and energy to prototype, test and iterate design ideas.Proactively observe, co-synthesise observations into insights, and implement learnings from customer testing and research.Use excellent communication skills to get everyone, at all levels, excited about your work.Collaborate closely with other UX and product designers, product owners and developers to create a highly efficient delivery team.Bring your thought leadership to our design process helping us develop and improve.Continually share and align your work with the wider design team.The way we work:We also think hard about our ways of working as a company.
At IG Group, we've set out five target behaviours that we expect everyone to strive to achieve in all that we do:Lead & Inspire : Leading teams in a way that drives trust, alignment, and enthusiasm.Think Big : We focus on the problems that most move the needle of commercial outcomes.Champion the client : We always keep the client's needs front of mind and deliver as much value for them in all that we do.Deliver at pace : We work to ensure nothing stands in the way of fast delivery of sustainable growth for our business.Raise the bar : We raise the bar by taking ownership of outcomes and being accountable for making things better across IG.What you'll need:Previous experience with optimising onboarding funnels is a great plus.Experience of design within financial markets would be ideal, or at least, proven experience of delivering design within another similarly complex product domain (i.E., medical, or other highly regulated industry).5 – 7+ years of hands-on product design execution & delivery.Translating business and customer needs into elegant ideas that are perfectly executed.Slick, thoughtful and flexible design skills - typography, grid systems, cross-platform UI.Have a strong appetite for complexity, for thinking about data, numbers, forms, and for disentangling workflows associated with managing and consuming data – you know the difference between causality & correlation.Stakeholder management – you're comfortable creating solutions for customers in, or subject matter experts of niche domains; as well as justifying your design decisions to others that have no idea what product design is.Ability to create working prototypes and demonstrate interactive design solutions.Have excellent presentation, storytelling and communication skills.Proven track record of delivering conceptual work.An appreciation of modern design trends and patterns.Keen attention to detail across all levels of design in your design process.Mindset & Behaviors:Curious, with an appetite to truly understand the never-ending complexity of the world of trading & traders.A tenacious, curious, and open-minded customer advocate – you know the difference between customer & commercial problems, and have an appetite to address them both.Radically candid – you're never afraid to speak your mind & share your point of view; but you're smart enoughto do so thoughtfully.
