Meet the team: Our Design System team is dedicated to create, advocate and drive adoption of the patterns, guidelines and tools that enable our learners and tutors to have a coherent experience across the entire platform. We start by understanding the needs of Preply designers and engineers, applying our evolving design language in a fast-paced environment. From there, collaborate with other teams to design, develop and ensure the correct use of our Design Systems across the production pipeline. We're always refining our documentation, tools, and processes, and we prioritize feedback as we continuously evolve. We're here to drive culture change, advocate for inclusive design thinking, and bring best practices to everything we do. What you'll be doing: Partner with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand team needs and build a Design System roadmap aligned with Preply's mission. Lead initiatives across the design community to increase adoption, support best practices, and incorporate feedback. Develop and maintain tools, components, guidelines, and standards to establish a consistent, inclusive design language. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices, incorporating innovations into our system's architecture, including Figma libraries. Write clear, accessible design documentation for various audiences, including designers, developers, and product owners. Collaborate with other designers on system contributions, advocating for high standards and adherence to governance policies. Continuously contribute to our team's practices and ways of working. What you need to succeed: Experience in owning, creating, scaling and driving adoption of Design Systems (collections of components, assets, documentation and tokens) Enthusiasm for developing your design skills, with expertise of visual design fundamentals and UX/UI design Knowledge with design tools, namely Figma plugins, and integrations Storytelling and communication skills to share ideas effectively with a diverse audience. Ability to build community and foster collaboration across teams. A portfolio demonstrating your experience and approach to design.
