Wood is currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer to participate in our Basic design projects for international clients across the energy transition markets, especially in relation to the hydrogen value chain, as well as petrochemicals, and refining sectors.
We are looking for an experienced engineer, with a broad range of process design skills who is ready to step up and lead a team of process engineers and designers. The right candidate will be highly motivated, able to work independently, proactive, and have demonstrable sound technical knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as process project manager reporting to the project manager.
Ensure that process engineering design activities are executed following client and WOOD standards and procedures to schedule and budget as advised by the project manager.
Be accountable for the calculations, data sheets, narrative documents and engineering diagrams prepared for the project by the team members.
Lead, coordinate and motivate teams, plan work, and provide clear technical guidance.
Ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets using technical knowledge and decision-making skills.
Provide technical expertise and support to the project manager to any business activity as required.
Mentoring, coaching and development of junior staff.
Keep up to date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise.
Review and audit process engineering activity on projects and support internal development and continuous improvement activity as required.
Ensure WOOD and Client health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Chemical Engineering degree.
From 5 to 15 years of proven experience in process design engineering, working at different steps of a project starting from Basic Engineering, FEED and EPC.
Demonstrable experience is required in Oil & Gas projects (Crude and Vacuum distillation, Delayed Coker, Hydroprocessing, FCC, Sulphur block, Utilities & Offsites, etc).
Experience in Energy Transition technologies (Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, Bio-refineries, co-processing of vegetable oils, SAF) will be positively valued.
Experience acting as Owner's engineering (PMC) will be highly valued.
Customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives.
Leading skills.
Proficient in technical software like Aspen Hysys, Aspen Flare System Analyser, PRO-II, Promax, AFT Impulse.
Excellent command of Spanish and English languages.
Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
