About the Company & Position: JBAndrews are currently partnered with one of the European leaders in Contract Development and Manufacturing for small molecule Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Drug Substances, who are searching for a proven R&D team leader to manage the R&D department on a global scale.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and ambitious R&D professional, with a proven ability to lead multicultural and cross-functional teams in a small molecule CDMO environment, partnering with global pharmaceutical companies.
Responsibilities: Global management of the Research & Development department. Monitor the implementation of new processes and the improvement of existing ones. Ensure project safety, quality and compliance, following regulations and providing innovative solutions and methodologies whenever possible. Control department expenses, complying with approved budgets and requesting justified changes when necessary. Work cross-functionally with project management, HS&E and business development to evaluate potential CDMO projects. Prepare quotes and actively discuss with potential clients. Actively participate in the selection and evaluation process. Assign R&D resources for project execution. Generate the project information required to support the quality system, and specifically in the transfer of processes. Ensure the transfer of technical-scientific knowledge between the R&D and production departments. Collect the necessary technical information during the escalation process to the plant and, iteratively, adapt it to our facilities and the batch size. Participate with production in the definition of the industrial process. Validate the activities of intellectual property related to the activity of our company, both regular manufacturing processes and new generic APIs.
