The Argemi-Fortes lab at CIMA (University of Navarra, Spain. )
is looking for a senior postdoctoral researcher with a cellular and molecular biology background and skills in cancer research to investigate the interplay between cell stress and response to immunotherapy.
Our lab works in very close proximity with clinicians from the Clinica Universidad de Navarra (CUN), where Dr. Argemi serves as a hepatologist.
Our aim is to develop novel therapeutics for liver cancer using pioneering technologies.
In addition, we have a working network of outstanding collaborators that expand our expertise allowing the transition from the bench to preclinical models and then to clinical settings.Your role: The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge experimental research project that moves from cell lines to animal models with a focus on clinical translation.
The project involves generation of small molecules, addressing molecular mechanisms, and performing proof of concept studies.You have: PhD and leading postdoctoral studies in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines.

Experience with basic and applied research: cell culture techniques and willingness to work with preclinical models.
Leadership role in the community together with the ability to work independently and creatively, coming up with innovative solutions to complex scientific problems, in an international team with a highly collaborative atmosphere.
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Fluency in English.
You might also have: Expertise in small drug screens and/or PROTAC development.
Knowledge about liver functionality and immune response.
Experience in data analysis (R, Python).
