Senior Postdoctoral Fellow – Stress Response and ImmunotherapyThe Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA) is a biomedical research institution of the University of Navarra, based in Pamplona, Spain. CIMA's research on cellular and molecular biology has a deep translational patient orientation and aims to solve unmet medical needs.
Strategically linked to Clínica Universidad de Navarra (CUN), CIMA brings fundamental research closer to its clinical application and paves the way for the development of products for diagnosis and treatment.
The main purpose of the Centre is to carry out high-quality scientific work combating diseases, especially in areas of unmet medical need. To this end, CIMA retains the academic approach of the University of Navarra as a source of new research ideas and talent and works together with biopharmaceutical companies, academia, and other institutions with an open innovation approach.
Fundación para la Investigación Médica Aplicada is a non-profit organisation established in 1998 by the University of Navarra for the management of CIMA.
The Argemi-Fortes lab at CIMA (University of Navarra, Spain. https://cima.cun.es/en) is looking for a senior postdoctoral researcher with a cellular and molecular biology background and skills in cancer research to investigate the interplay between cell stress and response to immunotherapy.
Our lab works in close proximity with clinicians from the Clinica Universidad de Navarra (CUN), where Dr. Argemi serves as a hepatologist. Our aim is to develop novel therapeutics for liver cancer using pioneering technologies. In addition, we have a working network of outstanding collaborators that expand our expertise, allowing the transition from the bench to preclinical models and then to the clinical setting.
Your Role:
The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge experimental research project that moves from cell lines to animal models with a focus on clinical translation. The project involves the generation of small molecules, addressing molecular mechanisms, and performing proof of concept studies.
