Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and driven Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Specialty Pharmaceuticals Global Portfolio Management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong scientific or medical background, with experience in evaluating commercial opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. While a background in healthcare investment banking or consulting is advantageous, a deep understanding of the scientific and medical aspects of innovative treatments is essential. This role requires a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The Sr.Global Portfolio Manager Specialty: RESPONSIBILITIES *Evaluate new commercial opportunities within the specialty pharmaceuticals sector, with a focus on innovative treatments for rare diseases
*Develop comprehensive forecasts and deal models to support business decisions
*Collaborate closely with the business development team and expert functions to align on strategic objectives and drive project success
*Screen and monitor ongoing developments in therapeutic areas of interest to identify potential opportunities
*Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise, and effective manner
*Ensure accuracy and reliability in all analytical assessments and reporting
*Maintain high levels of motivation and resilience, demonstrating the ability to transition seamlessly between projects
QUALIFICATIONS *PhD or Medical Degree required.
*Proven experience in healthcare investment banking or consulting, or a similar role in innovative pharmaceutical industry
*Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
*High proficiency in English
*Ability to travel occasionally to our headquarters in Germany
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and deliver high-quality results
*Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex messages simply and effectively to senior management
