We have a newly created opportunity for a strategic leader to drive data-driven portfolio strategy, develop advanced analytical models, and lead financial analysis for acquisitions and planning. You will be responsible for developing and refining analytical frameworks, designing and implementing advanced analytical models and frameworks to evaluate portfolio performance, to identify investment opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. The role involves mentoring analysts, managing third-party BI providers, and delivering impactful insights through reports and dashboards. Strong leadership, technical expertise (e.g., R, Python), and the ability to distill complex data into actionable recommendations are essential. Fluency in European languages, particularly Spanish, is a plus. Responsibilities Develop and refine analytical frameworks, design and implement advanced analytical models and frameworks to evaluate portfolio performance, identify investment opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. Independently drive analytical projects, proactively identify and analyse key business challenges, formulate hypotheses, and conduct independent research with minimal supervision. Lead and mentor analysts and provide guidance, training, and support to junior team members to foster their analytical skills and professional development. Oversee third-party Business Intelligence team, manage relationships with external BI providers, ensure the quality of deliverables, adherence to deadlines, and alignment with Amitra's strategic objectives. Leverage insightful data analysis to guide Amitra's activities; this includes portfolio strategy development, business plan forecasting, and portfolio reporting, focusing on providing strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights. Utilize and analyze extensive datasets, uncover historical performance patterns, correlations, key drivers, trends, and potential synergies within Amitra's portfolios to maximise value and identify areas for improvement. Contribute to pricing new portfolio acquisitions, lead financial modelling and valuation efforts, providing in-depth analysis and recommendations to support investment decisions. Prepare portfolio reports and dashboards and create comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including monthly performance reports, Asset Management Committee presentations, and materials supporting portfolio business plans. Advanced quantitative, technical, financial modelling, and analytical skills: Deep understanding of statistical concepts, financial analysis, and data modelling techniques. Proven ability to work independently: Capacity to initiate and execute complex analytical projects with limited supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. Experience and passion for analyzing and modeling large datasets: Proficiency in handling and extracting insights from complex and voluminous data sources. Ability to distil complex information into actionable insights: Skill in communicating complex findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Effectively communicating with peers, external partners, and senior management, conveying complex information clearly and persuasively. Proficiency in programming languages (ideally R, Python, VBA) and data management tools (e.g., Alteryx): Strong technical skills to efficiently manipulate, analyse, and visualise data. Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively: Adaptability to work effectively in individual and team settings. Fluency in additional European languages (particularly Spanish) is considered an asset: Enhanced communication capabilities with international partners and stakeholders.
