JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting a Senior Planning Engineer to join our Project Control team.In this role, you will provide a complete planning service to the project management team that has proven expertise in managing large, complex projects with a global reach. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in upstream oil and gas, midstream, LNG, refining, petrochemicals and chemicals.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelopment of detailed engineering schedules in conjunction with lead discipline engineersDevelopment of engineering progress measurement systems and reporting of progress and productivityCo-ordination of schedule interfaces between licensors' and subcontractors' activitiesProvide regular forecasting of project schedule including key milestonesLead regular schedule review meetings with the project teamProduction of weekly and monthly progress reports to the project management teamMentoring and development of locally hired Planning team members, where appropriateA data scientist using Microsoft's tools suite to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insightsQUALIFICATIONSRelevant degree / Chartered Engineer or appropriate experienceA proven track record in engineering and construction of refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar facilitiesExperience of FEED and EPC projects, including revamp projectsA pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job doneExcellent communication skillsExpert with Primavera P6 and spreadsheets, with database capabilitySelf-motivated, energetic, and tenaciousSpanish language at native levelExcellent command of EnglishAvailable immediatelyValid European Work PermitABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
