Senior Planning Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting a Senior Planning Engineer to join our Project Control team.

In this role, you will provide a complete planning service to the project management team that has proven expertise in managing large, complex projects with a global reach. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in upstream oil and gas, midstream, LNG, refining, petrochemicals and chemicals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development of detailed engineering schedules in conjunction with lead discipline engineers

Development of engineering progress measurement systems and reporting of progress and productivity

Co-ordination of schedule interfaces between licensors' and subcontractors' activities

Provide regular forecasting of project schedule including key milestones

Lead regular schedule review meetings with the project team

Production of weekly and monthly progress reports to the project management team

Mentoring and development of locally hired Planning team members, where appropriate

A data scientist using Microsoft's tools suite to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights

QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant degree / Chartered Engineer or appropriate experience

A proven track record in engineering and construction of refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar facilities

Experience of FEED and EPC projects, including revamp projects

A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done

Excellent communication skills

Expert with Primavera P6 and spreadsheets, with database capability

Self-motivated, energetic, and tenacious

Spanish language at native level

Excellent command of English

Available immediately

Valid European Work Permit
