Senior Permitting Project ManagerDepartment: DevelopmentEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: UK - LondonCompensation: £57,000 - £75,000 / yearDescriptionYour MissionThe Senior Permitting Project Manager role is critical to the development of Field's UK pipeline of battery energy storage system projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the project management of a number of our greenfield development projects, taking projects from concept design phase through to construction.Assisted by in-house design, grid, land, and legal teams, you will lead projects through the consenting phase. You will be responsible for all elements of project management required to successfully deliver a pipeline of ready-to-build projects ready for handover to construction.Key ResponsibilitiesThis is a broad and varied role with the opportunity to have massive impact. Key responsibilities include:Project management of a number of our greenfield development projects, including:Leadership and coordination of core project team comprising design, grid, and landCreation and ongoing management of project programmesBudget and risk managementReporting and escalationManagement of planning application process for greenfield projects, including:Management of external environmental and planning consultants to deliver all assessments needed to support a planning applicationManagement of external consultants to deliver site investigations and surveys to inform site designWorking with in-house design team to collate technical site information and act as Principle Designer to develop site specific designs suitable for planningStakeholder engagement with key statutory consultees, landowners, and community engagementSupport the construction team on projects in the pre-construction phase, including:Submission of planning amendments and discharge of pre-commencement conditionsSecuring any additional consents and permitsLandowner liaison and fulfillment of any Option/lease requirementsSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseThe skills you'll need4+ years experience in the project development and consents, ideally within the renewable energy industryProject management skills, including experience in programme, budget, and risk managementStrong understanding of consenting regimes within the UK, including environmental assessmentsExperience in managing a project team and leadership skillsExperience of managing external consultants and stakeholder engagementBESS experience and working electrical and/or civil engineering experience desired but not essentialBenefitsSalary: £57,000 - £75,000We're offering a competitive compensation package, including participation in our employee share scheme which rewards all employees for the growth of the business.Enhanced parental leave, for all new parents:6 months fully paid primary carer leave3 months fully paid secondary carer leave10 days fully paid leave for fertility treatmentUp to 10% company-wide bonus based on company performanceHybrid working (blend of home and office working to suit individual needs)Nest pension (8% combined contributions) on qualifying earnings25 days holiday + bank holidays£2,000 annual learning & development budget to spend on whatever best supports your growth1 month a year 'work from anywhere in the world' policySpill: our mental health benefit allowing every Fielder access to equal and unrestricted therapy and resourcesGreen leave: paid time off to do something good for the environmentFun co-working office space in Shoreditch, LondonDog friendly office (with some regular furry friends already in the team)Free team lunch once a weekRegular team socialsBirthday carbon offset: a gift from Field to the world to celebrate your birthday& many more on the way!
