Key responsibilities 1, Payroll Processing Preparation and distribution of payroll for all employees. Ensure timely and accurate salary payments, bonuses, and deductions. Manage payroll schedules and coordinate with finance and HR departments. 2, Compliance and Reporting Ensure payroll processes comply with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and submit required tax fillings, year-end reporting (e.g., W-2, P60), and statutory deductions. Stay updated on changes in labor laws and tax requirements affecting payroll. 3, System Management Manage and maintain payroll systems, ensuring data integrity. Implement system upgrades and integrations with other HR and finance tools. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues. 4, Team Leadership Supervise and train payroll staff, delegating tasks effectively. Establish performance goals and monitor team productivity. Act as a subject matter expert for payroll-related queries. 5, Process Improvement Identify and implement process enhancements for efficiency and accuracy. Develop and document payroll procedures and workflows. 6, Auditing and Problem Solving Conduct regular payroll audits to prevent errors and fraud. Resolve employee payroll discrepancies or inquiries. 7, Collaboration Work closely with HR for employee benefit deductions and salary adjustments. Partner with finance to reconcile payroll accounts and budgets. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in payroll management or a similar role. Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP). Experience managing teams is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
