Responsibilities As a Senior Optimisation Manager - PMO Construction EU you report to the Head of PMO Construction EU and you are focused on cross project and cross country learning and improvements.
The main objective of the role is to liaise across projects (Onshore Wind, Solar PV & Battery Storage) but also other departments to identify and review potential value opportunities and ensure these are implemented to reduce CAPEX and LCoE, increase LRoE, increase efficiency, manage risk and ultimately enable the construction of Onshore Wind, Solar PV or Battery Storage projects.
HSE You act as the main contact for a regular exchange with the responsible HSE Manager.
Share HSE notifications and Lessons Learned (LeLe) with the whole Construction team.
Follow up on improvement measures.
Continuous Improvement Current ways of working are to be challenged where appropriate and change projects are to be rolled out and managed across the department.
Current projects are to be reviewed to identify successes and failures to feed back into LeLe and future Project KPIs (Project Peer Assist Review Meetings).
Skills Matrix: The skills matrix will help the team identify individual training gaps to ensure all Project Managers Construction (PMC) are trained properly.
Support RWE Renewables' Learning Initiative to set up a comprehensive learning platform and to share information.
Digitalisation Acting as Digital Ambassador for the Construction team.
In this role, you will experience the digital transformation of RWE Renewables in an overarching manner and drive it forward, especially in the Construction department.
Document Management System (DMS): As the product owner together with IT colleagues you are responsible to implement a DMS into the Construction Team and that the whole team will be introduced to it.
Furthermore, you will support the Construction team with all kind of request and issues which might occur once the DMS is running.
Project Management Construction Undertake specific Project Management roles, typically single contracts, but on occasion complete projects, where resource and project activity levels make this appropriate.
Participate in monthly Steering Committees where the construction progress of projects is being reported by the responsible PMC.
Understand the current status and act as 'best critical friend' by challenging and offering support (incl.
escalation) where it makes sense and helps the project and the PMC
