.Team Purpose:The Managed Network & Security Team is responsible for the management of the network & security devices in Getronics Datacenters, connectivity towards customers and Cloud providers, and on-premise Network & Security implementations at our Customers.Role Purpose:The role is to proactively and reactively manage the Network and Security devices, act on alarms from our network management systems, and incidents reported by our customers.
Troubleshoot & analyze incidents and changes, make suggestions to fix and implement the solution.
Test and deploy software upgrades or security patches.
Work as a full member of our international team with a size of 35 Engineers.
We are looking for an experienced Professional who is autonomous, experienced, self-driven security fanatics.
You should possess excellent communication and team working skills and have confidence working on your own initiative.
You will be required to work during European business hours from Monday to Friday; however, depending on the situation, you might need to stretch as well on certain occasions and participate in on-call rota.
Flexible working options are available.Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Manage the design, implementation, and ongoing management of mainly Fortinet environment, including LAN, WAN, Firewall, and Wireless Environments.
Coordinate with networking vendors to ensure appropriate platform integration and performance.
Make recommendations to Senior management on new technologies and products for enhancement of the network.Lead and participate in the installation of Network systems and equipment for new facilities and expansions.
Test, debug, analyze performance, and document infrastructure components.Develop Network infrastructure installation procedures to ensure successful integration of systems hardware/software.
Develop and recommend technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand service levels.Monitor and analyze network, and provide results on a regular basis.
Take corrective action to improve data network.Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during production outages.Assist in guiding, training, instructing, and assisting others at peer or lower levels on technical issues and products.Act on Network Incidents reported by our network management tools and Customers.Proactively test & upgrade software on various devices.Analyze capacity management reports & propose improvements.Prepare and execute Change requests.Remotely configure new devices.Attend DataCenter for local break and fix as and when required.Interact with multiple teams (Helpdesk, Customer, Service delivery Manager).Make technical advisory/designs for customer network migrations.Make technical advisory to improve customer security environment.Communicate & raise incidents to third party (vendors/telecom providers).Create and update documentation sets.Propose improvement plans (technical & human activity)
