Role Overview Our client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their product development team, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering.
This role will involve designing, building, and managing robust network infrastructure.
The selected professional will play a critical role in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance, advancing the mission of data sovereignty.
Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain scalable network infrastructure in cloud environments (OpenStack).
Collaborate on network strategies aligned with business objectives.
Evaluate new networking technologies to enhance scalability.
Document network configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
Manage virtual networks, routing tables, and VPN connections.
Implement cloud-based security features, including firewalls and load balancers.
Automate network tasks using scripting languages and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with security standards.
What we're looking for Technical Skills Proven experience in cloud network infrastructure (VPC, OpenStack, and load balancers).
Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and network management tools (Wireshark, Datadog).
Expertise in scripting for automation (Ansible, Python, Bash).
Soft Skills Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
Adaptable and proactive with a commitment to continuous learning.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and DevOps is a plus.
Fluency in English is essential.
Relevant Experience 5 years in network infrastructure roles.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
