What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Mobile SDET (Software Development Engineer in Testing) who will contribute to a project with one of our global customers, that is a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking and saving accounts.
Main responsibilities Test Automation Leadership: Design, develop, and maintain advanced mobile test automation frameworks for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing for iOS and Android applications. Strategic Test Planning: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive mobile test strategies and plans, ensuring full coverage of features and functionality. Quality Advocacy: Act as a quality advocate within the engineering team, promoting best practices in test automation, continuous integration, and deployment. Collaboration: Work closely with mobile software developers to influence design and architecture with testability in mind, ensuring high standards of code quality. Performance and Scalability Testing: Design and execute complex performance, load, and scalability tests, identifying bottlenecks and working with the development team to optimize performance. Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs and quality engineers, helping them to grow their skills in test automation and quality assurance. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve existing mobile testing processes, tools, and frameworks, incorporating the latest industry trends and technologies. Defect Management: Oversee the identification, documentation, and tracking of defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Innovation: Innovate within and across teams and provide technical leadership, bringing external market perspective. What UST expects from you?
6+ years of experience in software development and test automation, with a focus on designing and implementing robust mobile automation frameworks. Technical Expertise: Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Swift, Kotlin, or JavaScript. Mobile Testing Automation: Experience with mobile automation tools like Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar frameworks. CI/CD Knowledge: Strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, with hands-on experience in tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Mobile Architecture: In-depth knowledge of mobile application architecture and frameworks for both iOS and Android platforms. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead testing efforts, mentor junior engineers, and drive the adoption of best practices in test automation. Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams. SDLC: Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle. Design Patterns: Deep understanding of design patterns and principles. Cloud: Relevant experience with Cloud Computing (AWS is a plus). Agile: Experience working in an Agile fashion (e.g. Scrum, SAFe). Accessibility: Knowledge on accessibility testing and best practices (e.g. W3C). Desired Skills
Regulated Environment: Experience working in a highly regulated environment, like banking and fintech. Education: Degree in Computer Science. Certifications: AWS certificate. Cloud Testing Services: Experience with cloud-based mobile testing services (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab). Security: Knowledge of mobile security testing and tools (e.g., OWASP Mobile Security Testing Guide). Mobile Multiplatform Frameworks: Experience in testing hybrid or cross-platform mobile frameworks (e.g., React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform). What can we offer?
