Context: The Middle Office and Finance department in Madrid is looking for a Senior Middle Officer & Business Controller for its activities in GEMS Iberia Role: Daily monitoring of P&L (MtM and S-P) Production of daily reporting Analysis of P&L vs expected P&L Exchange with the FO to ensure that you have a good understanding of the modeled assets and management strategies Monthly closing : Control of pre-injection data in accounting Support to the Accounting team on the economic/accounting P&L reconciliation YTD P&L & cash analyzes for performance review (vs budget, vs Y-1) Best Estimate P&L & cash analyzes for performance review (vs budget, vs Y-1) Exchange with the FO on the analyze Budget process : Budget assumptions building with Font office (P&L and Cash) Year on Year variation analyzes Involvement/Contribution in process automation Hard skills: 5 years or more of experience in Finance or Middle Office roles.
Strong knowledge in Mark-To-Market accounting (experience in industrial accounting in addition would be a plus).
Good understanding of the Spanish Energy market and work experience in energy management and trading sector are an asset.
High level of comfort with the digital tools Outlook/Team/Excel Analytical and quantitative skills , combined with a hands-on approach are a must.
Ability to optimize the processes and interact with IT teams to propose system evolutions Knowledge/or interest of IT tools such as PowerBI or Python Soft skills: You have a high level of integrity and adaptability Well organized and pro-active, solution oriented Able to perform during specific reporting cycles with tight deadlines A real team player able to transfer your knowledge, and able to coordinate the inputs/actions of various Education and professional background: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
A specialized master's degree in Corporate Finance or Management Control will be a plus.
Languages: Advanced level of Spanish and English (C1 in both languages).
