Job Description
AECOM Spain MEP team is a highly qualified group of experts in offering the best solutions to international client's needs all around the world.
Our building services engineers are at the forefront of their discipline for the design of the mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) systems required for the safe, comfortable, and environmentally friendly operation of buildings.
We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.
Join our dynamic and motivated team as a Senior Electrical Engineer!
You'll play a key role in project delivery, mentor junior colleagues, and help shape the future of our engineering team.
In this role, you will:
Complete electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes.Make major design recommendations and decisions with input from senior staff.Plan design work, calculate costs, and time schedules, and assign design duties to junior staff on projects.Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files.Act as an advisor and review correspondence prepared by junior project team members.Evaluate project staffing requirements, analyze problems, and write reports.Attend project meetings or delegate activities when appropriate.Meet with clients, prepare proposals and presentations, and maintain good client relations.Identify prospective clients, assist in marketing to develop new clients, and develop future projects with existing clients.Assist in project quality control checks on other projects.Have knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans and drawings.Be able to switch between working on multiple different projects.Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations.Qualifications
What we expect from you?
Bachelor's degree (B.S.)
in Electrical Engineering or industrial engineering with Electrical Emphasis Engineering from an accredited program.At least 15 years of experience in a similar role or demonstrated equivalency of experience within engineering role.Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written).Team coordination experience.Motivation to work within engineering sector and oriented to manage positively people relations.Good knowledge in international regulations and standards (NFPA, BS, IEC, etc).Knowledge in engineering calculation software for electrical discipline (CANECO, ETAP, among others).We look forward to welcoming you to our team and working together to achieve great things!
