The Role Veeva Link envisions building connected data applications to improve research and patient outcomes. Link Medical Insight is a product that captures, reveals, and disseminates medical insights across the enterprise, enabling medical teams to refine strategy based on scientific insights.
As one of our Senior Data Analysts, you will be the subject matter expert for questions regarding Link Medical Insights data structure and quality. You will ensure the data we use meets the product goal and provide data analysis for the various stakeholders. You will work closely with product management, data operations, data governance, software engineering, and quality assurance teams. With your expertise, we will ensure that our curated medical notes live up to the highest quality standards of our clients, which are the biggest pharma and life sciences companies worldwide.
To thrive in your role, you need to have an academic background in medicine or life sciences, with substantial experience with data analytics, large databases, and complex data sets. You are a fast learner, detail-oriented, have a growth mindset, and can turn data into valuable insights. You communicate effectively with stakeholders and can deliver high-quality results within a tough timeline. You are comfortable working remotely in an international environment.

What You'll Do Own the data flowing from product operations to the Link App Assure that data quality and compliance meet our high standards Extract data from databases (e.g., Redshift, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL) Analyze large data sets and generate insights Identify data gaps and quality issues Perform root cause analysis with data-backed solutions and support the implementation Solve complicated problems by building leading-edge analytics systems Create customized reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders Requirements University degree in medicine or life sciences, e.g., bioinformatics, clinical informatics, pharmacist 3+ years of working experience in the Healthcare/Pharma industry, with MSL working experience Advanced SQL skills (joins, subqueries, subquery factoring) Advanced spreadsheet skills (in Excel or Google Sheets) Skilled in data reporting and visualization Proven track record managing data analytics projects Experience with large databases and complex datasets Experience creating recurring KPI reports and dashboards for a business unit environment Experience in complex organizational structures, reporting to senior management Comfortable working remotely in an international environment Written and verbal communication skills in English Nice to Have Knowledge of database technologies (Redshift, NoSQL/MongoDB, PostgreSQL) Proficient in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Superset) Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks Strong understanding of statistical analysis and modeling Ability to create and maintain automated reporting systems Perks & Benefits Opportunity to work in a diverse and international workspace Personal development budget A significant contribution to the pension fund Life insurance Fitness reimbursement Veeva's headquarters is located in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in more than 15 countries around the world.
