Our Engineering department plans and constructs complex chemical plants for Clariant in Spain and abroad.Responsibilities:In Clariant's global investment projects, you will work independently and coordinate the design and procurement of machines and equipment such as vessels, columns, reactors, heat exchangers, filters, pumps, etc.You will create inquiry and order specifications in collaboration with other engineering disciplines and procurement, taking into account internal and external guidelines, standards and codes.You will clarify open technical issues with suppliers and create technical bid comparisons.You will manage the expediting of the manufacturing and delivery process by reviewing and approving the detailed design documents and drawings from suppliers.You will carry out manufacturing supervision including technical quality inspection as well as acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) of the equipment to ensure cost, quality and schedule compliance.You will support installation and commissioning activities at the site.Requirements:You have a university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in engineering, ideally in mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline.You have at least 5 years of professional experience in plant engineering with a focus on static equipment in the chemical industry.You have sound knowledge of relevant standards and codes (DIN/EN, PED, ASME, ...).You are proficient in using common IT programs (MS Office, SAP).You are a motivating and cooperative team player who is also willing to make decisions and take responsibility.With your intercultural competence, you can easily communicate successfully with international counterparts.You can demonstrate excellent communication skills fluently in English and if possible in German.International travel is not a problem for you.Our Offer:Journey with the innovative, leading Swiss based chemical specialty company.Permanent employment contract.Great work environment in Tarragona.Work in open and collaborative culture, respectful and committed to your professional development.Fully loaded benefits package.Transparent rules regarding your salary, rewards and recognitions.Your Contact:Talent Acquisitionwww.clariant.com/careers
