As R&D Engineer, you will join our South Europe Technology Center, an organization leading continuous research and development activities on transformers. Specifically, you will be part of the R&D Team in Zaragoza (Spain), and you will contribute to the development of projects related to the mechanical performance of dry transformers and contribute to the successful roadmap execution.Your responsibilities Propose and execute standardization projects to cover factories along all the globeAnalyze current design and processes of all factories and propose new ideas to improve productivity by introducing new technologiesUnderstand the impact brought by changes, assess their implications and introduce these changes into global technical, material and/or production standardsCooperate closely with technical experts from all factories to solve technical gapsKeeping track of changes with rationale, following workflows while publishing documents and use of document management system and repositoriesIntroduce and track KPIs to monitor introduction of changesOrganize training for a design engineers and prepare training materialsProvide punctual technical support to factories, salespeople and customersLiving Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the businessYour background BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years' experience in dry-type transformer technologiesAbility to use external (IEC, IEEE, …) and internal standards and regulationsUnderstanding technical documentation and drawingsAbility to make technical judgements in a field of expertiseKnowledge of 3D modelling (will be a plus)Familiar with document management systems (will be a plus)Team working attitude, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skillsFluent in Spanish and English, both written and spokenHitachi Energy is a global technology leader that is advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
