Transmin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer for the development of new and innovative products and to improve existing ones. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and R&D, to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective designs that meet market demands. Key Responsibilities: Lead the mechanical design and development of new products from concept to production. Drive product improvement initiatives by analysing and optimizing existing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability. Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and functionality. Utilize advanced CAD tools to create detailed models, drawings, and specifications. Conduct simulations, stress analysis, and testing to validate designs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers. Stay current with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques to integrate cutting-edge technology into designs. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements. Collaborate with the Engineering management to update and align modelling and drafting standards with industry best practices. Responsible for the continuous improvement and maintenance of the management of the company CAD system administration, including Standard libraries, standard contents centre, style libraries, and ilogic rules. Qualifications: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience in a related field. 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on new product development and product improvement. Advanced proficiency in CAD software and PLM systems (AutoCAD and Vault, or similar). Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems. Experience with FEA and other simulation tools. Proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
