Our client, a leading company in the industrial sector, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their R&D team.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESWork independently with cross-functional teams in both waterfall and agile projects.Understand and analyze product requirements according to customer specs, functionality, and reliability requirements, considering time and cost constraints.Own mechanical design from concept phase to mass production, making CAD 3D designs and 2D drawings of assemblies and components.Elaborate mechanical BOM and selection and definition of suitable materials, ensuring quality, robustness, and reliability of the design.Provide technical support to other departments in investigation activities, complaints resolution, and returns.Independently lead cross-functional teams as Change Owner and provide technical expertise to bring assigned projects to completion on time and to budget.Practice sound design activities such as 8D problem-solving, design reviews, product verification and validation, statistical design, tolerance analysis, engineering change procedures, and product documentation creation, validation, and release.Contribute to the continuous improvement and best practices of the R&D department.REQUIREMENTSExperience: 4/5+ years of mechanical design experience in R&D.
Experience in thermal management and diverse product design technologies including metalworking, sand and die casting, gasket design, plastic injection moulding, and prototyping.Education level: Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
